The wizard Howl from Howl’s moving castle, in man-bird form. This took a while, and I’m pretty pleased with the results. The only thing I regret is not blocking in colours near the beginning.

When I was working on this, I realized I hadn’t drawn anything special for the Chinese New Year. I was too lazy to start something else, so Hibari now has a stylized bunny for a tonfa.
*A* I keep greeting my Cantonese relatives with “Gong Xi Fa Cai” instead of “Gong Hey Fat Choy”.

Photoshop started lagging like crazy when I started colouring the frame, and tried to shut down while I was doing the textures. I can’t be bothered to struggle with it anymore, so although the textures are too strong, I’m posting it now. Thank you, Crimson, for the advice on using textures WHICH I MESSED UP I’M SORRY. >_<
Supposed to be a fanart for Tegami Bachi (A series that’s brilliant. It’s full of heart.), but I sorta got distracted when drawing. Paper Textures by the very awesome Princess-of-Shadows.
Full view please!
“My New Year’s resolution this year is…”
It’s a real pity about the Akatsuki probe. It could have yielded a treasure trove of information about our sister planet, Venus. Thankfully, the mission could be more profitable in about 6-7 years time, when Venus comes near the Akatsuki again.
About a quarter of the way though this, I realized that this isn’t funny at all. But I continued. I have no idea why. The colouring is blotchy, the probe looks like Sputnik and Pain’s hair is horrible.

Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and flutter,
In there stepped a stately raven of the saintly days of yore.
Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or stayed he;
But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door –
Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber door –
Perched, and sat, and nothing more.
My part of a collaboration with CrimsonANBU (now “smoking crimson”) of TheOtaku. Inspired by, not an illustration of The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe.
